About Uttarapath

Uttarapath - a magazine of art, literature and culture. It is the first Bengali Magazine and published in Gothenburg since last 29 years. At the beginning name of the magazine was Uttar Prabashi. Before DTP system started, Uttar Prabashi was published in Hand written. From 1986 it has changed name to Uttapath form Uttar Prabashi. Changing of name was happened for some unavoidable reasons. From 1986 Uttarapath was published in three different languages (one issue in Bengali, one issue was in English and Swedish), and it was a quarterly magazine until 1999 and presently Uttaparth has only Bengali issue, and since last 2007 printed in Calcutta. The mission of Uttarapath is to continuously cope up with the contemporary Bengali literature and publish them for the reader in abroad.
